“Symbols, Cycles and Soul” was the title of a day workshop facilitated by a Jungian therapist and Swedenborgian, Helen Brown, at Greenhill New Church in New Barnet. Twelve attenders were delighted to spend time in this church which was specially decorated with several stands and a rainbow of coloured fabrics. Small quizzes were organised for us to enjoy during quiet moments and a delightful centre-piece included shells, stones, leaves and a candle.
The workshop focussed our attention on the rhythms of nature, patterns and symbols. Many people brought poems and quotes about nature, we had time for meditations and also work in small groups to harmonious and relaxing music.
Natural symbols remind us of aspects of our life. Despite the constant rain and high winds outside, the event was light and enjoyable.
